Job summary

Rice Lake Weighing Systems in Wisconsin is seeking a Welder Development Trainee to learn manual welding processes to meet quality standards. The program includes an onboarding phase (full-time 3 months or part-time 6 months) and a training phase (full-time 3 months).

You will operate overhead cranes, grinders, and forklifts, and work in a fast-paced team setting to achieve wares that meet RLWS specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required to begin the program.
• No prior welding experience needed, just passion for the profession.
• Candidates must pass pre-assessment tests for reading and math.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual welding processes to RLWS quality standards and expectations.
• Interpret manufacturing drawings to ensure proper welds and part acceptability.
• Operate overhead crane and forklift to move materials.
• Grind parts and occasionally blast parts before or after welding operations.
• Work in a small group setting and independently to complete workload.
• Operate power tools and basic hand tools.
• Other job functions as assigned.
