Job summary

Stoughton Trailers is onboarding individuals to become welders at our Stoughton plant in Wisconsin. You will be paid while you learn welding basics during Weld School, including classroom and lab training on equipment, techniques, and blueprints.

After two weeks of training, you’ll take a hands-on weld test. If you pass, you’ll be assigned to a welding mentor on the production floor and, after three weeks of hands-on training, promoted to Welder with pay increasing to $22/hour.

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
• Willingness to learn welding and follow training instructions.
• Ability to listen to feedback and improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Learn welding techniques during Weld School and demonstrate skills in hands-on tests.
• Work with Weld Instructors and mentors to apply new skills on the production floor.
• Meet quality standards and progress to Welder with a pay increase after training.
