Job summary

Contech in Abingdon, VA is seeking a Welder for our 3rd shift to contribute to infrastructure projects, drainage systems, pipes, bridges, and stormwater management. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and proficiency in MIG and Stick welding; technical training is preferred.

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
• Uses template, pattern, scribe, etc. to mark and lay out material.
• Aligns and assembles product for welding using crane, lever hoist, chains, etc.
• Uses cutting or plasma torch to burn to precision layout.
• Adheres to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.

We are looking for a WELDER to join our 3rd shift team (+ $3/hour shift differential) at our Abingdon, VA plant. As a Welder with Contech you will contribute to America's essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.
