Job summary

Consolidated Equipment Group in Fosston, MN is seeking production welders to join a team responsible for materials handling, assembly, paint, and welding tasks. Employees are assigned per production needs and must meet high quality standards.

Wage: Up to $21.50 per hour with quarterly bonus incentives; base pay ranges from $19.00 to $21.50 hourly. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability and 401k; PTO schedule is generous.

Qualifications

• Background in metal fabrication and manufacturing.
• Ability to read and assemble parts per instructions.
• Proficient with hand tools and powered tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety training and maintain a clean workspace.
• Cross-train and work in multiple areas as needed.
• Safely position and move work-pieces using hoists and forklifts.
• Inspect parts for defects and ensure conformance to specs.
• Assemble components with hand and power tools per production instructions.
• Support continuous improvement within the company.
• Work well in a team and also independently.

Job Summary:

Perform a variety of duties as assigned including, but not be limited to working as part of a team in materials, assembling, paint or welding areas. Production employees are assigned to tasks based on production needs and are expected to perform to high quality standards.

Wage: Up to $21.50 an hour plus quarterly bonus incentives!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned):

• Understands and complies with safety training
• Maintains a neat and clean work area
• Ability to cross train and perform multiple areas
• Safely positions and secures work-piece using hoist
• Safely operates forklift
• Examines work-piece for defects and ensures conformance with specifications
• Using various hand tools to assemble component parts into finished products according to production manual specifications.
• Practices and supports continuous improvement within the company.
• Interacts well with other team members and also able to work independently.

Education and/or Experience:

• A background in metal fabrication and manufacturing
• Ability to read and assemble parts according to production work instructions
• Proficient in the use of a variety of hand tools and hand-held power tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Smart and exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities
