Qualifications

• Experience with a variety of welding equipment and procedures preferred.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing prints and products.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints and drawings to ensure correct measurements.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
• Choose materials and welding methods based on requirements.
• Learn multiple welding types and test equipment.

Position Description: Manual WelderManual Welder at LayerZero Power Systems, LLC. will be responsible for inspecting, building, welding, and testing fabricated assemblies for use in LayerZero Power Systems, LLC. products. This role will effectively manage all equipment maintenance and upkeep. The manual welder must demonstrate welding and inspection knowledge that allows them to work from general instructions, shop drawings, blueprints, and diagrams. LayerZero Power Systems, LLC. is looking for someone with strong attention to detail, communication skills, and great concentration to join our team.

Requirements

Primary Duties:

• Analyze and read blueprints and drawings and ensure they meet the desired measurements
• Setting up, operating, and maintain welding equipment
• Selecting appropriate materials and welding methods based on requirements
• Learning multiple types of welding and test equipment
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols in the workplace
• Use necessary controls for weld parameter adjustments
• Align components using calipers, tape measures, and other tools as well as jigs, fixtures, and clamps
• Perform visual examination of welds
• Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods of time
• Troubleshooting

Experience & Skills:

• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures preferred
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools preferred
• Basic understanding of manufacturing prints and products
• Basic computer skills

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
