Job summary

Frontier-Kemper Construction Inc. is seeking a Welder to repair and construct fabricated products for its Mining and Civil Divisions, plus OEM equipment for outside customers via the Lake Shore division.

You will join a safety-conscious shop environment and contribute to high-quality fabrication while collaborating across departments. The role requires a strong welding skill set, ability to read drawings, and a proactive approach to maintenance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AWS D1.1 certification for structural welding.
• Experience with SMAW (stick), MIG (wire), and TIG welding methods.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform layout work.

Responsibilities

• Must comply with all company policies and be able to work in a way that does not pose a threat to themselves or others.
• Efficiently and accurately complete work assigned by management.
• Provide high quality and accurate fabricated items based on supplied drawings.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely to perform work.
• Evaluate equipment to assess damage and wear.
• Participate with all departments to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Work overtime as needed.
