Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ welding experience, preferably on construction sites.
• Must pass welding certification test including SMAW and FCAW.
• Able to read welding instructions and blueprints.
• Able to read a tape measure and use standard hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding using proper techniques.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
• Bolt, clamp and tack-weld parts to secure for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc welding equipment.
• May assemble parts by bolting and repair products as needed.
• Demonstrate safety and maintain punctual attendance; overtime may be required.
