Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. in Georgia is seeking a Welder for upfitting and repairing weatherproof or sound attenuation enclosures, welding fuel tanks and aluminum frames using MIG techniques.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to specifications, and collaboration with Quality Control while performing enclosure assemblies and testing welds; HS diploma preferred, 1 year MIG welding experience, and opportunities for ongoing training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience of MIG welding (work/hobby/volunteer).
• Light and medium gauge fabrication experience.
• Able to max lift 50 lbs. without assistance
• Successfully read tape measure and compute basic math

Responsibilities

• Using MIG welding techniques, weld aluminum stud frames, walls and roof to create the enclosures.
• Weld all secondary and supporting components for the enclosure.
• Assemble and weld walls around fuel tanks.
• Test welds for leaks and complete spot welds where needed.
• Work with Quality Control to confirm all weld work is as required by specifications.
• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Welder at Yancey Engineered Solutions, you will be welding fuel tanks and aluminum stud frames for the weatherproof or sound attenuation enclosures. This position will primarily focus on upfit and repair work on enclosures.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Using MIG welding techniques, weld aluminum stud frames, walls and roof to create the enclosures
• Weld all secondary and supporting components for the enclosure
• Assemble and weld walls around fuel tanks
• Test welds for leaks and complete spot welds where needed
• Work with Quality Control to confirm all weld work is as required by specifications

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have a strong mechanical aptitude, training and experience with MIG welding and the desire to learn. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to work safely alone and around others is essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
