Reporting to the Door Line Supervisor, the Manufacturing Production Welder will primarily be responsible for welding and assembling metal pieces and products using handheld welding equipment. The role includes setting up parts for welding, using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures, and working from specifications, drawings, and weld symbols. Responsibilities also involve preparing and completing work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal under the direction of supervisors and experienced production associates.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
- Weld in accordance with AWS D1.1, D1.2, and D1.6 standards.
- Inspect products for defects to ensure quality standards are met.
- Read, assemble, and weld from fabrication drawings.
- Actively follow all safety and health standards to keep the workspace accident‑free and identify and communicate any safety risks or concerns.
- Communicate regularly with the Door Line Supervisor and experienced production team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Environment
Functions in a live production environment most of the time; requires walking the production floor and standing for up to 10 hours per day. Frequent lifting, twisting, and bending are required, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Excellent vision (with or without correction) is required. The environment has moderate noise levels from equipment and machinery.
Qualifications
- Skills – Intermediate welding fabrication, some knowledge of inventory control, intermediate knowledge of reading and understanding shop drawings.
- Preferred Behaviors – Dedicated (devoted to a task with integrity), detail oriented (capable of carrying out a task with all necessary details).
