Job summary

The Wittern Group is seeking a Welder - Overhead to perform a variety of duties related to welding machine parts and to assist with other tasks as assigned by supervision. The role emphasizes safe operation, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities include set-up and operation of overhead welding, quality review, and timely reporting of deviations. The position requires following instructions and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in the cabinet line

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain electrodes on an overhead welder.
• Review quality of parts produced and report deviations.
• Operate spot welders, grinders, sanders and related equipment on the cabinet line.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and maintain equipment.
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Obtain supplies, position work and follow verbal or written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to set-up, operate and maintain electrodes on an overhead welder
• Review quality of parts produced and note deviation from approved part
• Report deviation of parts produced to Supervisor
• Operate spot welders, grinders, sanders and other equipment used on the cabinet line
• Required to wear PPE
• Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
• Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to supervisor
• Perform other duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
• Desire to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
• Follow all company rules and policies
