Job summary

Logistec is seeking a Structural Welder in Georgia to perform welding, fitting, and fabrication of structural steel per drawings and safety standards. You will read blueprints, set up welding equipment, and ensure weld quality while maintaining a clean, compliant workspace.

Qualifications

• Previous structural welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding symbols.

• Basic knowledge of welding equipment, tools, and safety procedures.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, levels, and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding using MIG, Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and/or Stick welding processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, drawings, and job specifications.
• Fit, align, tack, and weld structural steel components.
• Measure and inspect completed work to ensure proper dimensions and weld quality.
• Set up and operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
• Perform grinding, cutting, beveling, and preparation of materials as needed.
• Inspect welds for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Maintain welding equipment and report equipment issues to supervision.
• Follow established welding procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of equipment and materials.
• Work cooperatively with welders, fitters, supervisors, and other members of the operations team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Structural Welder is responsible for welding, fitting, and fabricating structural steel and related components according to drawings, specifications, and established safety and quality standards. • Must be able to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, protective clothing, and safety footwear.
