Job summary

DeSHAZO is seeking a Welder Lead to operate MIG welding equipment and supervise a welding team on day shifts. The role involves preparing tools, staging parts, and producing welded assemblies per engineering specs to meet production schedules.

The candidate must read engineering drawings, have MIG/GMAW or FCAW experience, and ideally possess AWS certification or welding coursework. Safety and quality are emphasized on a busy shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience with MIG and Flux-core welding; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read engineer drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and sets up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs.
• Arranges parts for welding and staging processes.
• Builds welded assemblies per engineering documents and production standards.
• Reports fabrication issues and assists in resolutions.
• Participates in cross functional meetings as required.
• Supports QA with jig & fixture evaluation.
