Elemet Group, based in Princeton, MN, is seeking a Welder III to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate welding equipment, ensure quality and safety standards, and maintain records and equipment across a productive shift.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of welding experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work with Mig and Tig processes while adhering to safety protocols and daily production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 4 years welding experience required.

Responsibilities

• Advanced understanding of welding needed to produce metal components.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures including lockout/tag out.
• Weld three or more different types (Mig, Tig).
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws.
• Adjust welding machine as needed.
• Select correct welding process, cell, and machine.
• Report daily production quantities to meet parts/hour targets.
• Maintain accurate counts of materials and products.
• Perform daily maintenance on welding machine.
• Conduct quality checks on product and communicate results daily.
• Set up workstation per safety standards for maximum efficiency.
• Maintain clean work area and equipment per procedures.
• Maintain positive attitude with stakeholders.
• Complete first part approval for all jobs.
• Collaborate with departments to hit daily goals.
• May program new parts in robotic cell.

Job Details: Job Location: Glenn Metalcraft Inc - Princeton, MN 55371, Salary Range: $27.00 - $33.00 Hourly, We are seeking a knowledgeable Welder III to join our team at Glenn Metalcraft. This position is responsible for producing metal components by setting up and operating welding machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced understanding of welding necessary to produce metal components
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/Tag out
• Ability to weld three or more different types (Mig, Tig, etc.)
• Set up components for welding according to specifications for given process
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
• Ability to adjust welding machine
• Ability to select correct welding process, cell, and machine
• Understand and accurately report daily production quantities to meet set number of parts per hour
• Consistent and accurate counts of materials and products
• Ability to do daily maintenance on welding machine
• Performs necessary quality checks on product and completes daily communication
• Ability to setup workstation according to safety standards to perform maximum efficiency
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to established procedures.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
• Ability to complete the first part approval process for all jobs
• Effectively collaborate with departments across organization to achieve daily goals
• May program new parts in robotic cell to completion

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 4 years welding experience required

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to safely perform work in varying work conditions
• Holds at least three welding certifications (1G – 6G) or three different materials (ex. steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.) required
• Working knowledge of welding with previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Effective problem-solving skills/detailed oriented/sense of urgency
• Ability to read blueprints and use measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and fillet gauges
• Ability to be forklift certified
• Ability to follow hoist safety protocols
• Self-motivated, takes initiative

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
• Excellent hand/eye coordination
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools
• Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
• Ability to consistently wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels

The expected base pay range for this position is between $27.00 and $33.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
