Job summary

Calgon Carbon Corporation, a Kuraray Company, seeks a Welder II at the Equipment & Assembly Plant in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves welding piping systems and vessels to CCC/ASME codes, reading drawings, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

The Welder II will operate shop equipment, perform inspections, document welding logs, and support various plant duties as needed. Certification, strong workmanship, and adherence to safety policies are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA/AS degree or equivalent preferred.
• ASME welding certificates required.
• 2-3 years welding experience required.
• ASME code welding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tack and finish welding of piping systems using SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW and GMAW.
• Weld small vessels and structural components per CCC procedures and codes.
• Read drawings to determine weld size and location; verify workmanship.
• Operate forklifts, jib cranes and overhead crane; complete ASME weld logs daily.
