Job summary

StandardAero in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Welder to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will fabricate parts from shop drawings and interpret blueprints, using GTAW and resistance welding to repair components.

You will read drawings, operate brakes and shears, and contribute to process improvements while supporting production and safety requirements. Shift: 1st, 4x10 Mon-Thu 5am-3:30pm.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years TIG welding and fabrication experience.
  • 3+ years experience reading and interpreting blueprints and welding process specifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.

Responsibilities

  • Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
  • Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes.
  • Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements.
  • Observe all applicable safety requirements.

As a Welder, you'll work with metal fabrication equipment such as Gas Tungsten Arc (GTAW) and resistance welding to repair a variety of parts.

What You’ll Do
  • Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years TIG welding and fabrication experience
  • 3+ years experience reading and interpreting blueprints and welding process specifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day
Desired Skills
  • Previous welding experience in aerospace or aviation environment
  • Experience with welding thin gauge material and exotic metals (Inconel and Hastelloy)
  • Thorough understanding of tool design and fabrication methods and processes
  • Trade certification preferred
