Custom Stainless Enclosures, Inc. (CSE) in Marshfield, Wisconsin, seeks a welder to join our team.

The welder will weld and polish stainless steel enclosures per blueprint using a TIG welder and hand polishing grinders; this is a full-time position that requires working at least 40 hours/week from Monday through Thursday. We require a High School Diploma or equivalent; manufacturing environment experience is preferred, with 3 years of welding and polishing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area
  • Plans details of work order procedures and gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job
  • Prepares materials, fit, and weld per blueprints provided
  • Grind & polish welds to sanitary standard per blueprints
  • Monitors the welding process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, and shrinkage
  • Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
  • Collaborate with operators and engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve productivity
  • Interact with coworkers to effectively complete tasks

Position Summary

  • Grind & polish welds to sanitary standard per blueprints

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience
  • Detail-oriented & organized
  • Ability to read blueprints and tolerancing of parts accordingly
  • Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints
  • Familiarity with different sheet materials (grade, thickness, finish)
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of welders & grinders used in the production of enclosures
  • Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
  • Basic understanding of mathematics as it relates to welding assignments
  • Self-motivated and able to recognize next steps in projects
  • Must be able to see details at close range
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
  • Must be able to stand for an extended period
Education & Experience:
  • Compliance with safety and quality standards
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • 3 years of welding and polishing experience preferred
