Bendel Tank and Heat Exchanger, LLC in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. You will weld and fabricate components for tanks and vessels using TIG, MIG, and plasma cutting, reading blueprints and measurements to ensure precise layouts.

Responsibilities include fitting, assembling, and welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and high nickel alloys, with a 6pm–6am Monday–Thursday schedule and overtime possible based on workload.

Qualifikationen

• Read blueprints and drawings to lay out work and fabricate components.
• Weld with TIG, MIG and plasma cutting techniques on stainless steel, carbon steel and nickel alloys.
• Operate an overhead crane and use hand tools safely on the shop floor.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team, specializing in the fabrication and welding of components for tanks and vessels. The ideal candidate will interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute precise layouts, utilizing specialized welding techniques including TIG, MIG, and plasma cutting, with experience in welding, fabricating, and fitting. This position works 6pm-6a M-Th with opportunity for overtime depending on workload.

Primary functions and duties:

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Use specialized welding equipment including TIG, MIG, and Plasma cutters.
• Fit, Fabricate and Weld components to tanks and vessels such as nozzles, manways, ladders, handrails, and platforms. Pipe joints, tube to tube sheets, and thermal jackets.
• Follow and enforce strict shop safety regulations such as wearing safety glasses, heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. Good housekeeping
• Work 40 hrs./week minimum plus OT as needed based on workload. Current work week is 48/wk. M-F.
• Work with Team members to ensure top quality and high standards while welding on S.S., C.S. and High Nickel alloys.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Read blueprints and utilized those to lay out work and build products.
• Read and understand measurements.
• Layout, fit, weld nozzles and other parts inside and out per the drawings.
• Operate an overhead crane.
• Must pass ASME 6G SCH.80 (SA312TP316L) 2" pipe test using GTAW process.
• Must pass ASME 2G plate (SA36 & SA240-304) test using GMAW process.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. Work safely from a ladder. Able to work inside a tank/vessel.
• Must have TIG & MIG welding experience. Pulsed MIG is .
• Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, and High Nickel alloys.
