Job summary

Gerhart is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our Tatamy, PA-based team. You will fabricate from blueprints and raw materials, using TIG and MIG welding, grinding and finishing to produce high-precision parts.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team on challenging industrial projects. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Familiar with common metal shop tools and equipment.
• Effective communication skills are a must.
• Capable of working both independently and as a team to perform all jobs and projects.
• Previous work experience with Pipe Fitting, Tube Bending, Compression Fitting Experience.
• Forklift Certification
• Physically Fit; position requires lifting 50 lb or more.
• Willing and able to bend, crawl, and lift for extended periods meeting OSHA standards.
• Self-motivated with critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate from professional blue prints or sketches as required.
• Work with a variety of metal welding and grinding/sanding techniques with high accuracy.
• Fabricate from raw material to finished product.
