Job summary

FMH Conveyors in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for the 2nd shift to lay out, fit and weld steel components across our product lines, including NestaFlex and BestFlex brands as part of the Duravant family.

You will set up equipment, perform MIG and TIG welds, operate cutting torch and plasma cutter, read fabrication procedures, and maintain shop equipment. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy parts in a loud, heat-heavy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience welding steel components for fabrication projects.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement.
• Ability to lift heavy parts and work in a loud, hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, fits, and welds steel fabricated components for FMH Conveyors products lines.
• Calculates the location of stop pins, dowel pins, drill bushings, etc.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts using MIG and TIG welders.
• Sets up and operates a cutting torch and plasma cutter.
• Operates and maintains shear, brake press, and mechanical power presses.

(Jigs and Fixtures)* Sets up equipment and welds parts, using mig welder.* Sets up equipment and welds parts, using tig welder.* Sets up and operate a cutting torch and hand held plasma cutter.* Knowledge of fabrication operation procedures, and basic mechanics of fabrication machinery and equipment* Set up, operate and perform minor maintenance on shear.* Set up, operate and perform minor maintenance on brake press.* Set up, operate and perform minor maintenance on mechanical power presses.* Other duties may be assigned.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
