Job summary

FMH Conveyors, a member of the Duravant family, is seeking a skilled welder to lay out, fit, and weld steel components for its conveyor systems. The role involves setting up equipment, using MIG and TIG welders, and operating cutting torch and plasma cutter within fabrication processes.

The position requires the ability to handle heavy parts and work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG and TIG welding and fabrication processes.
• Able to operate cutting torch and plasma cutter.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, fits, and welds steel fabricated components for FMH Conveyors product lines.
• Selects appropriate work holding devices (jigs and fixtures) and sets up equipment.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts using MIG and TIG welders.
• Operates cutting torch and plasma cutter as needed.
• Performs minor maintenance on shear, brake press, and mechanical power presses.
• Adheres to safety and fabrication procedures.

(Jigs and Fixtures)Sets up equipment and welds parts, using mig welder.Sets up equipment and welds parts, using tig welder.Sets up and operate a cutting torch and hand held plasma cutter.Knowledge of fabrication operation procedures, and basic mechanics of fabrication machinery and equipmentSet up, operate and perform minor maintenance on shear.Set up, operate and perform minor maintenance on brake press.Set up, operate and perform minor maintenance on mechanical power presses.Other duties may be assigned.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
