Job description

Are you a rare talent who can design a solution in SolidWorks and then head to the shop floor to TIG weld it into reality? We are seeking a Welder Fabricator to lead manufacturing innovation. This is not a "production line" job; you will be the bridge between initial concepts and final quality products, specializing in high-precision prototyping, custom tooling, and Lean manufacturing improvements.

Core Responsibilities
  • Concept to Reality: Interpret travelers, blueprints, and sketches to prototype products and custom fixtures that meet rigorous quality standards.
  • Design & Optimization: Use SolidWorks to review existing products for cost reduction and design improvements.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain equipment to peak standards and proactively advise supervision on technical hurdles or material issues.
  • Problem Solving: Use independent judgment to resolve manufacturing bottlenecks and streamline personal workflow.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify Lean and 6S opportunities to create a more efficient, safer, and organized shop environment.
  • ERP Management: Accurately utilize our management system to track jobs and maintain company standards.
Primary Performance Parameters
  • Precision & Timing: Meet all delivery dates for assigned prototype projects.
  • Quality First: Ensure every weld and fabricated part meets customer specifications and safety requirements.
  • Safety Leadership: Conduct all shop operations with a "safety-first" mindset.
Required Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise: A minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Welding Mastery: Expert-level TIG welding skills (particularly on thin-gauge materials) with secondary MIG knowledge.
  • Design Software: Firm understanding and functional experience using SolidWorks.
  • Fabrication Kit: Proficient with various shop tools, including hand tools, rolls, and inspection gages.
  • Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents and blueprints.
  • Soft Skills: A self-starter attitude with excellent communication skills and a genuine belief in continuous improvement.
Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive Pay: Compensation is determined by candidate experience, education, certifications, and specific job-related skills. Comprehensive Benefits: Includes premium health insurance (medical, dental, vision) and eligibility for an incentive recognition bonus program. Access to training and development to expand your technical certifications.
