Job summary

Freedom Motors USA, Inc. in Battle Creek, MI, is seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will perform precision welding throughout the vehicle conversion process, reading blueprints, operating MIG welders, and maintaining equipment.

This hands-on role directly impacts customer independence and quality of life. You will read wiring schematics, follow written instructions, and uphold OSHA safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on welding experience, ideally in automotive manufacturing or a related field.
  • Proficiency with welding machine operation, including regulating current and voltage for proper metal fusion.
  • Ability to read and fabricate from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical sketches.
  • Pre-inspection skills and attention to quality - you catch your own errors before they move down the line.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to follow both written and verbal work instructions.
  • Outstanding attendance record and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with Freedom Motors’ quality and safety standards, policies and procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams and follow both written and verbal work instructions.

What You’ll Do:
