Job summary

SkyMark Refuelers, LLC is seeking a Welder/Assembler to MIG and TIG weld aluminum and stainless steel parts to fabricate tanks for mounting on a truck chassis. You will read blueprints, fit assemblies, and weld using Miller and Lincoln equipment.

Responsibilities include operating plasma cutters, torches, grinders, and ensuring quality, safety, and cleanliness on the work area. An emphasis on GTAW/GMAW welding skills and attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Diploma or Certificate of welding school or at least one year of welding experience using GTAW/GMAW.

• Read and understand blueprints and fit assemblies for welding.

Job description

Summary The Welder/Assembler position is responsible for MIG and TIG welding of aluminum and stainless steel parts to create a tank to be mounted on a truck chassis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Hand plasma cutting
• Fitting assemblies to weld
• Tubing and fitting welding
• Confined space welding, 30-45 minutes per task
• 20-25% weld time for this position
• Welding with quality and attention to cosmetic detail is a MUST
• Read and understand Blueprints
• Work Safely and Maintain clean and organized work area
• Operate Miller and Lincoln welding equipment
• Operate lifting equipment
• Operate standard fabrication equipment such as horizontal saw, drill press, grinders.
• Operate plasma cutter, cutting torch, and hand saws
• Perform quality checks on finished assemblies
• Fabricate minor brackets as needed
• Must adhere to all company safety and operation policies
• Use established construction techniques to build tanks

• PC skills in Microsoft Excel, Word.

Education And Experience

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Diploma or Certificate of welding school or at least one year of equivalent work experience welding similar materials using GTAW/GMAW process.
