Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous welding or metal fabrication experience required.
• Formal welding training or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• AWS welding certification preferred or required based on work and customer requirements.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency with welding and fabrication tools such as shears, rollers, flame cutters, brakes, and grinders.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Measure, mark, cut, bend, fit, and assemble metal components according to design requirements.
• Perform welding, fabrication, repair, grinding, and finishing work on fleet-related metal components and structures.
• Build base templates or custom fixtures as needed to complete work.
• Set up and safely operate welding and metal fabrication equipment.
• Confirm materials and design specifications before fabrication or cutting.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
• Inspect work for fit, weld quality, and workmanship, and document results.
