The Welder Foreman is responsible for making sure the shop runs smoothly from day to day, by ensuring the team has everything they need to be successful.
General Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities
- Responsible for assigning projects to the team
- Responsible for monitoring and ensuring deadlines are met
- Responsible for making sure safety policies are followed
- Responsible for making sure the team has everything they need to be successful
- Responsible for facilitating any training the team needs
- Responsible for ensuring the shop is cleaned everyday
- Puts together estimates on fabrication
- Material take off and ordering
- Assist with projects when needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
- The construction process from scheduling to manpower to the labor, materials and equipment required for installation
- Constructability and the construction process
- Welding Codes – AWS, ASME and QA/QC procedures related to these codes

- Vision acuity (near, far and without color deficiencies)
- Pushing (up to 100lbs)
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED Required. Experience in general welding codes and the ability to mentor welders to pass certification tests is strongly preferred.
