Job summary

McNeilus, an Oshkosh Company, is seeking a Welder for our Riceville, IA production facility. You will heat and form metal parts, read measurement devices, and operate a crane to position components for welding.

Starting pay is $20 to $28.34 per hour based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, and tuition reimbursement up to $10,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Passed weld test either through pre-employment test or through internal weld program.
• Ability to start and run a welder.
• Ability effectively performs job tasks within one station with little to no quality defects or guidance.
• Willingness to learn to change your own wire.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months of applicable position experience.

Responsibilities

• Weld heat-formed metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, plasma cutter, or other welding equipment.
• Capable of welding all materials at the location.
• Operate an overhead crane to move parts safely into place and adjust welding current as needed.
• Read measuring devices and maintain a clean, safe 6S work area while assembling and testing models/products.

YOUR IMPACT

Heat and form metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, plasma cutter/ carbon arc or other welding equipment; properly position material/parts to be welded. Capable of welding all materials at the location. Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place; adjust welding current to proper weld configurations. Accurately operate and read measuring devices. Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 6S standards; use practices to follow all safe procedures in assembling and testing of all models/products in assigned job function. Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands.

Minimum Qualifications
