Job summary
Morgan Truck Body is seeking skilled welders to fuse aluminum, steel, and galvanneal components for truck bodies. You will read blueprints, set up and maintain welding equipment, and perform quality checks to ensure durable, high‑quality builds.
Ideal candidates have at least 6 months welding experience or completed welding school, basic math and measurement skills, and the ability to follow safety policies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Morgantown, PA.
Qualifications
- Weld Test Proficiency: Must successfully pass a weld test to demonstrate skill and quality.
- Material Expertise: Proficient in welding mild steel and galvanneal materials.
- Experience & Training: Minimum of 6 months welding experience or completion of welding school training.
- Technical Skills: Solid grasp of basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills essential for precision.
- Tool Handling: Basic experience with hand tools to support welding tasks.
- Measurement Understanding: Able to accurately understand and apply measurements on the job.
- Blueprint Literacy: Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints for specialized welding applications.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.

In this hands‑on role, you'll be on your feet—standing for extended periods, walking, and using your hands to operate tools and equipment with precision. Clear communication is key, so you'll be regularly required to talk and listen as part of a safety-focused, team‑driven environment. You’ll also lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical movements like bending, squatting, reaching overhead, and occasionally crawling in tight spaces. Repetitive hand tasks and climbing ladders or working at heights are part of the role.
