Job summary

Martin Marietta in Benson, NC is seeking a Maintenance Welder to join our team on the 4 PM–3 AM shift. The ideal candidate will be safety minded, dependable and motivated, with at least one year welding and maintenance experience and the ability to repair and maintain conveyor systems, gearboxes, fixed and mobile equipment.

This role involves troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, fabrication and erection of processing equipment, and daily site inspections.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of welding and maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant equipment, often performing out-of-position welding.
• Maximize equipment performance by completing repairs and preventative maintenance on schedule.
• Perform fabrication and erection of processing equipment and repairs to mobile and fixed equipment.
• Complete daily pre- and post-inspections of the work area.
• Operate loaders and haul trucks as needed in a safe manner.
• Assist in training co-workers and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
