Job summary

Potts Welding in Newark, DE is seeking a Full Time welder to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will operate industrial welding equipment and overhead cranes, perform welding in GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes, and handle manual material tasks as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities include reading basic blueprints, maintaining safety standards, and performing routine maintenance. Overtime may be required to meet production demands. Strong attendance and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to start, operate, troubleshoot, and stop industrial welding equipment.
• Capable of reading and understanding basic blueprints.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for long periods (minimum 4 hours).
• Willing and capable of varied shifts/overtime as production demands.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Must wear ANSI safety shoes, safety glasses, and PPE.
• Knowledge and ability to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW fillet pressure welding.
• Operate overhead cranes and other powered material handling equipment.
• Perform manual material handling tasks.
• Perform administrative tasks (stenciling, filing).
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Maintain regular, prompt attendance on scheduled workdays.
• Work overtime as required by management.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Perform basic material measurements.

• 1) PERFORM GMAW, FCAW, AND GTAW FILLET PRESSURE PART WELDING.
• 3) OPERATE OVERHEAD CRANES AND OTHER POWERED MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT.

• 6) PERFORM ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS. (STENCILING OF PARTS, FILING ETC.)
