Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks in the manufacture of products to conform with specifications and certification requirements.
• Weld production and prototype instrumentation parts using TIG and/or MIG processes.
• Operate programmed welding machines to weld production units.
• Set up fixtures and lay out work for production and prototype parts.
• Troubleshoot welding issues and provide welding support to others.
• Train other welders as needed and collaborate with internal departments on welding parameters.
• Welds must pass destructive and non-destructive testing per product requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement and review manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain daily organization and safety in the work area.

If you are a Welder looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Pearland, TX , you will perform routine assembly of mechanical or electrical components.

1st Shift: Monday through Friday 5x8's. Overtime opportunities (not guaranteed) are available . Currently the team is working 4x10's, 8 hours on Friday and 6 hours on Saturday due to business needs.

Pay rate is $26 to $36 per hour (depends on experience)

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Perform welding tasks in the manufacture of products to conform with specifications and certification requirements
• Weld production and more difficult prototype instrumentation piece parts in various materials including stainless steel, precious and semi-precious metals using various types of welding processes which may include TIG and/or MIG
• May operate program welding machine to weld production units
• Set up fixtures and lay out work for production and prototype piece parts
• Trouble shoot problem welding areas
• May train other welders and/or provide welding support to others as needed
• May work with various internal departments to establish welding process parameters
• Welds must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual product
• Participate in continuous improvement processes
• Recommend changes to and participate in the review of manufacturing procedures
• Perform daily organization and cleanup of work area
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervision
• Perform work of a miscellaneous nature as required

For This Role, You Will Need:

• A minimum of 1 years of related GTAW (TIG) welding experience
• Must acquire and maintain individual welding qualification and certification per product requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

• A minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing facility
