Job summary

Carry On Trailer Inc. seeks a dependable Welder to fabricate, assemble and weld metal components for trailers. You will read blueprints, set up equipment, and weld parts in multiple positions while maintaining safety standards and quality.

The role requires reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties include inspecting welds, aligning components, and assisting teammates to complete jobs efficiently.

Qualifications

• Preferred – 1 to 2 years of Industrial Welding experience.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must be 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must have reliable transportation and be on time to work.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings to plan welds and layout.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for defects.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow 5S + safety standards.
• Assist other welders to complete work efficiently.

Paid Holidays available on your first day of employment - we will be off for 2 days at Thanksgiving, 2 days at Christmas, and 2 days at New Years!We will also offer a week of vacation, available after 90 days of employment!The position of a Welder is of great significance to our organization. This position fabricates, assembles, and welds metal/steel components on various trailers to SOP’s/Blueprints/Knowledge /Foreman and/or Lead Instructions. The candidate will assist other welders in the completion of trailers, inspect welds to ensure quality standards are met, and support a team approach and complete other duties as assigned. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work on time.Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain all company Quality requirements and follow company guidelines utilizing a “Stop and Fix” mindset.Maintain a clean environment and follow company 5S + Safety Standards.Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and proceduresDetermine the appropriate welding equipment, settings, and methods based on requirementsSet up components for welding according to specificationsOperate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be weldedAlign components using fixtures, tape measure, levels, speed square, etc. and clamp piecesWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)Prepare trailers and other components by welding pieces and filling gapsTest and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flawsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetyAssist other welders in the completing of work to ensure work is completed as efficiently as possibleMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Fast paced environmentAbility to lift 50 lbs and work in awkward positions while bending, stooping, kneeling or standing to work overhead for 10 hrs.Skills and Requirements:Must possess the skill set to support a safe working environment.Must pass a drug screen.Must be 18 years old.Education and Qualifications:Preferred - High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.Preferred – 1 to 2 years of Industrial Welding experience.Medical, Dental, Vision, company paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage.401K with company matchPaid Vacation after 90 days
