Requirements

Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and working with hazardous equipment, employees must maintain attention and concentration for extended periods and follow all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.

Welding and Fabrication Job Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and follow directions.
• Maintain and repair conveyor belt systems.
• Work on Hammermill Shredder.
• Stick welding, including welding on system components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Welding using Oxi-Propane Torching.
• Knowledge and implementation of metal fabrication equipment practices.

Welding and Fabrication Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair conveyor systems using appropriate tools.
• Assist with installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
• Determine causes of operating errors and recommend corrections.
• Apply innovation and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, work instructions, and procedures.

Welding and Fabrication Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience with man-lifts (up to 80 feet), forklifts, and signaling is a plus.
• Demonstrate professional and respectful conduct at all times.
• Ability to make independent, sound judgments within safety and policy guidelines.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Four to eight years of progressive welding and fabrication experience.

Work Environment:

The employee will be exposed to extreme conditions, including loud noise levels, weather variations, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
