Job Juncture in Waterloo, Iowa is seeking a dependable Fabrication Welder responsible for welding large and small weldments, laying out parts, fabricating as needed, reading prints, and producing parts to blueprint requirements to meet production schedules.

This first shift role requires 2+ years welding experience, proficiency in blueprint reading, and the ability to use calipers, tape measures, squares, and other measurement tools; the job includes lifting up to 75 lbs and standing all day,

Job description

Job Summary of the Welder: The Fabrication Welder will be responsible for welding large and small weldments. Must be able to lay out parts and fabricate as needed, read prints, and pass a weld test. Produce all parts as per blueprint requirements in a timely manner to meet production schedule. To keep work area clean and organized. This is a first shift position, and pay is commensurate with experience. Subject to a drug screening and background check.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Welder:

• 2+ years of experience in welding in a Manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Proficient in measuring and calculating fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to utilize various measurement tools, including but not limited to square, angle square, calipers, and tape measure.
• Use of wrenches, air tools, handheld grinders, overhead cranes, steel handling, and frequent lifting required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand / or be on your feet all day.
