Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking skilled welders for a Harford-area manufacturing operation. You will perform precision welding of heat transfer equipment, read blueprints, and work to tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires expertise in Flux Core, TIG, and MIG welding, and the ability to pass an ASME Section IX 6G pipe weld test. Lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined spaces are required.

Responsibilities

• Weld heat transfer equipment including feedwater heaters and heat exchangers
• Weld in confined spaces and utilize TIG, Flux Core, and MIG processes
• Read blueprints and schematics to required tolerances
• Perform metal fabrication, grinding, and rework as needed

Key duties and responsibilities may include:

• Precision welding ofheat transfer equipment including feedwater heaters, unfired heat exchangers, main steam condensers, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Welding in confined space. Completing Tig, Flux Core and Sub-Arch welding, as well as G-6 & GM codes.
• Read blueprints and schematics and work under tolerances.
• Metal fabrication, grinding, and rework.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must possess extensive skills in Flux core, TIG, and MIG.Multi-pass TIG/Flux core experience a must. Must be able to weld G-6 & knowledge of GM codes.
• Must pass a ASME Section IX 6G pipe weld test:6G open table, TIG root with MIG fill/cap, on heavy pipe.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and be able to weld in confined spaces.
• Must have own leathers, helmet and hand tools.

Job Specifications:

• Pay Range: $20-30/hour
• Shift(s): 1st shift, with OT possibilities
• Hours: Mon-Thurs, 6am-4:30pm
