Job summary

A leading global industrial tools manufacturer is seeking a Welder for their Ooltewah, TN facility. The role involves operating cranes, welding products, and maintaining welding tools to meet quality standards. Candidates should have MIG welding experience and good problem-solving skills. Join Our Team as a Welder at Epiroc!

This Welder role is responsible for operating cranes, welding products, and maintaining welding tools and equipment safely and efficiently to achieve the quality and production standards of the company.

Work Type (Onsite):

This position will be based onsite at our Ooltewah, TN facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship

Shift Timings:

6:00 PM - 4:30 AM, Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Layout, position, align, and fit components into the welding fixture as instructed.
• Set up the gas shield, MIG-weld, and weld parts to job specifications.
• Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and welding symbols to complete job assignments.
• Use hand tools, clamps, and grinders to perform job tasks.
• Complete basic maintenance on welding equipment.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental procedures, policies, and practices.
• Any other duties that fall within the employee’s capabilities.

Knowledge/Education

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a heavy-duty machining/manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated skill level in wire feed (MIG) welding.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
• Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
• Ability to lay out parts using weld fixtures.
