Job summary

Jobot in Tacoma, WA is seeking a skilled MIG Welder with stainless steel experience to join our design-forward, custom metal fabrication shop. You’ll work on stainless projects, read blueprints, and produce high-quality welds in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

We offer 4-10 hour shifts, a new facility after expansion, and growth opportunities. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401k with match, and flexible PTO up to four weeks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of MIG welding experience, including stainless steel.
• Experience with custom fabrication or architectural metalwork preferred.
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Weld parts to specification following blueprints and work orders.
• Maintain quality by inspecting welds and applying corrective actions.
• Operate and maintain grinders, saws, presses, and other shop equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Salary: $28 - $36 per hour

Job Details

• 3+ years of MIG and/or welding experience, including stainless steel
• Experience with custom fabrication or architectural metalwork preferred
• Proficient with grinders, saws, presses, brakes, and other welding equipment preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Ability to consistently produce clean, high-quality welds
• Comfortable working independently and in a team
• Familiarity with shop safety protocols and PPE
• High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
