Job summary

Maintainer Corporation of Iowa, Inc in Sheldon, IA is seeking a Welder to join our manufacturing team. This full-time role offers hourly pay from $22 to $30, with comprehensive benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One-year welding experience preferred with basic welding knowledge.
• Must meet Welding Skills Tests performance qualification.

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machines and tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Position, produce and/or fasten parts per the manufacturing schedule.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation and wear required PPE.
• Work at different stations as needed and produce quality work.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs and show initiative.

As a Welder with Maintainer, you will be responsible for:

• Appling basic understanding in the operation and maintenance of machines and tools utilized in the manufacturing environment.
• Positioning, producing and/or fastening parts in specified relationship to each other according to the manufacturing schedule.
• Maintaining a clean and safe workstation, maintaining and wearing all required personal protective safety equipment.
• Working at different workstations as needs require or shifts from one station to another. Able to promptly produce quality work that satisfies customer requirements.
• Participating in all continuous improvement programs by offering suggestions and by exhibiting initiative in the area within direct control.
• Following all organizational, department/area, safety policies, procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One-year prior welding experience is preferred with basic knowledge of welding process.
