Job summary

ASC, a division of Lift Solutions, is seeking a Welder to join the Rigging team in East Hazel Crest, IL. The Welder will read manufacturing prints, set welding equipment to correct tolerances, and maintain production rates while ensuring prints are followed accurately.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and TIG/fabrication experience. Strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work independently in a production environment are essential.

We are currently seeking a Welder to join our Rigging team at ASC in East Hazel Crest, IL.

Position Summary

The Welder must be able to use welding equipment, instruments and stay within specified tolerances. They must have the ability to maintain production rates and manufacture prints.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret manufacturing prints to determine correct fit and tolerances.
• Understand welding machine operation and fitter/welding burning equipment.
• Perform all functions associated with welding preparation and welding.
• Conduct appropriate quality checks of equipment.
• Determine correct machine settings and tolerances.
• Monitors work environment for hazards and maintains healthy ventilation levels to avoid particle or gas inhalation.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in TIG and general fabrication skills, required.

Qualifications

• Must have basic skill set to operate all welding tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to work independently in a production-oriented environment.
• Must be a team player.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Physical Ability Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds).
• Ability to be mobile throughout facility to communicate with other departments.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for extended periods of time.
