The Career:

Are you a skilled welder with MIG welding certification, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment? QA1 is looking for a talented Welder for our Lakeville, Minnesota team. In this role, you’ll utilize your welding expertise to set up and operate welding machines, produce high-quality metal parts, and ensure safety and precision in every weld. If you have a strong track record of reliability, safety consciousness, and quality-driven work, we want to hear from you!

What You Will Do:

  • Consistently meet or exceed weld production goals and maintain high levels of productivity while minimizing waste and meeting quality standards.
  • Operate robotic equipment, including loading and tacking parts, plus performing touch-ups.
  • Perform basic MIG welding and weld cleaning (both robot and manual).
  • Follow blueprints and specifications, ensuring tight tolerances.
  • Inspect completed products for quality compliance.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and workspace safe and organized.
  • Troubleshoot and report discrepancies or malfunctions to management.
  • Other duties as beneficial to the success of QA1.

The Critical Skills and Experience You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • MIG welding certification through AWS or 4+ years experience and/or training required; Pulse MIG welding experience a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Prior experience with forklift operation, basic hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to weld with a welding rotator.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Person people want to work with.
  • Positive attitude, reliable attendance, and excellent work ethic.
  • Basic math, reading, and English communication skills.
  • Comfortable with team interaction or alone under busy conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Must be available and open to the idea of cross-training and learning.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, including extended standing 8-10 hours a day and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 60 lbs.
