Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Flat Welders for projects located in and around the Tipton, IA area . This is a full time opportunity, with a pay rate of $24-28/hour based on experience plus $100/day worked per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

Weld and fabricate structural steel parts based on blueprints using various welding techniques
Cut materials using acetylene or plasma torch
Drill holes and prep materials as required for fabrication
Move materials using forklift; locate blueprints and verify measurements
Check alignment, weld beams and columns, and ensure quality meets customer requirements
Finish assembly and welding; make necessary adjustments through grinding or re-cutting
Perform complex welding layouts and verify part codes and placement
Ensure workspace is clean and organized, keeping materials off the floor and aisles clear
Complete timesheets accurately with proper job codes and hours
Transport materials in and out of the facility using forklift
