Job summary

Hutco Inc., Harvey, LA, is seeking first-class structural welders with shipyard experience to join a long-term, high-hours project. A skills test will be conducted on-site; no TWIC required and no per diem.

The role involves working in confined spaces, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing and navigating docks and vessels, and operating essential welding tools. Overtime pays at time and a half after 40 hours. Benefits include medical, vision, and short-term disability.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural welding, preferably in shipyards.
• Ability to read welding specifications and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Enter and work in internally confined spaces.
• Manipulate and transport loads up to 50 pounds over distances up to 200 feet, 1–6 times per 8-hour shift.
• Operate all machines and tools essential to welding duties.
• Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights.
• Work at heights and navigate around piping obstructions.

Hutco Inc. is seeking first-class structural welders, specifically looking for skilled workers with experience in shipyards. A test will be conducted on-site to assess your capabilities. No TWIC card required. NO per diem available. Long-term work!! LOTS OF HOURS AVAILABLE!!

Requirements

Enter and work in internally confined spaces.

Manipulate and transport loads of up to 50 pounds over distances of up to 200 feet,

approximately 1 to 6 times during each 8-hour shift.

Manipulate and operate all machines and tools essential to the performance of the position

of a Welder.

Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights.

Traverse and negotiate uneven heights between the dock and the vessel.

Traverse and negotiate uneven surfaces.

Maneuver around piping obstructions and web frames.

Ascend and work at heights.

Stooping, squatting, twisting, kneeling, and reaching
