Welder Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join our team. The welder will be responsible for assembling and joining metal and aluminum components using various welding techniques while ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have experience with welding equipment, the ability to read blueprints, and strong attention to detail.

This position would also include crosstraining to other areas of the metal shop. We are a manufacturing company that makes HVAC units for Marine applications and temperature-controlled medical units for emergency transportation vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, or stick welders.
  • Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, or grinding metal surfaces.
  • Weld metal parts together according to specifications and safety standards.
  • Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment when necessary.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous welding experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.
