Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a skilled Welder to support solar and BESS projects near Elm Mott, TX. You will read blueprints, perform MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding and join metals such as stainless steel and aluminum.

The role requires safety focus, endurance, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather. You must pass a welding test, read schematics, and operate plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years welding experience.
  • Welding certification preferred (AWS/ASME).
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Must pass a welding test.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work outdoors and in varying weather with PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and diagrams to perform welding tasks.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding on stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum.
  • Ensure work is safe, efficient, and meets quality standards.
  • Use plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the task at hand.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding on various metals, including stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum.
  • Ensure work is done safely, efficiently, and meets quality standards.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools.
  • Follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Clean and maintain work area and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Welder.
  • Welding certification (such as AWS or ASME) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
  • Must pass a welding test.

Physical Demands:

  • This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
  • Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
  • This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards
  • The ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • The ability to work in various weather conditions.
