Aebi Schmidt Group in Charlotte, MI is seeking a Welder to read blueprints, assemble, and weld parts to exact specifications with minimal supervision. This regular hourly role involves MIG welding (GMAW) and fabricating metal components per engineering drawings.
You will set up equipment, select tools, lay out parts, clamp, and tack-weld to secure assemblies, while adhering to safety practices and OSHA PPE requirements; the position offers 40-hour weeks with occasional overtime.
The Welder is responsible for assembly securing and welding metal parts, as well as reading and interpreting blueprints of a complex nature, fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications with little supervision.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Education: GED/High School Diploma or Experience, Technical degree/certificate (preferred)
Experience: Prior fabrication experience (Preferred).
ERP (Preferred),
1 year or more of MIG welding experience.
Certification/ Licensure: N/A
Hours: 40 Hours, Overtime as needed.
