Job summary

Hendrickson in Berea, KY is seeking a welding operator to assist in producing welded parts with MIG, hand, and robotic welds while meeting quality standards. You will read blueprints, perform inspections, and participate in safety programs in a non-temperature controlled manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Weld product using MIG, hand and robotic welders to required quality and production levels.
• Perform inspection on product utilizing total quality concepts and basic measurement equipment.
• Report daily activities on work orders and other media as required.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards; wear PPE.
• Actively contribute to safety culture and participate in safety training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Assist in the timely production of all welded parts and ensure welds being completed are within acceptable quality standards.

Essential Functions

• Perform MIG, hand and robotic welding operations to produce product at the required production and quality level as instructed.
• Perform inspection on product utilizing total quality concepts.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Accurately report daily activities on work orders and other media as required.
• Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
• Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
• Exercise safe working habits while operating machines, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of safety culture, participating in safety training sessions, and promptly reporting any safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Training

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Prior welding experience, required.
