Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of welding, fitting, or fabrication experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with MIG, TIG, FCAW, or SMAW welding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.
  • Experience with structural steel, piping, vessel fabrication, or mechanical assemblies.
  • Ability to use precision measuring and layout tools.
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights as required.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Weld and fabricate structural steel, pressure vessels, piping systems, and other facility components.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and other welding processes as required.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, welding specifications, blueprints, and fabrication documents.
  • Layout, fit, align, and assemble structural, piping, and vessel components according to specifications.
  • Measure and verify dimensions, tolerances, and fit-up requirements using precision measuring tools.
  • Inspect and verify welds in accordance with applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Operate welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with mechanical assembly, alignment, installation, and support fabrication activities.
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Support production schedules and project timelines through collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
  • Perform other duties as needed to meet project goals.

About the role

Aalo Atomics is seeking skilled Welders to join our team in building the future of advanced nuclear reactors. In this role, you will support the fabrication, fitting, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems, structural components, pressure vessels, and facility infrastructure. This is a hands‑on position that requires precision, safety, and attention to detail. You’ll work closely with engineers, technicians, and fabrication teams in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of welding, fitting, or fabrication experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with one or more welding processes including MIG, TIG, FCAW, or SMAW
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications
  • Experience working with structural steel, piping, vessel fabrication, or mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to use precision measuring and layout tools
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights as required
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality
  • Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of welding, fitting, or fabrication experience
  • Experience with structural fitting, vessel fitting, pipe fabrication, or combination welding
  • Familiarity with AWS and ASME welding codes and standards
  • Experience working with stainless steel, carbon steel, and other ferrous and non‑ferrous materials
  • Ability to pass applicable welding qualification tests
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as nuclear, aerospace, defense, power generation, or oil and gas
  • Experience using cranes, rigging equipment, and material handling systems
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
