Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a manufacturing professional in Indiana to examine and resolve defects in welded components, ensuring adherence to QA standards.

The role involves identifying root causes, communicating findings to operations, and maintaining fabrication processes with both manual and automated welding systems. All training occurs on the first shift for up to two months before moving to the assigned shift.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience desired.
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication and installation standards and specifications; ability to assemble and fabricate metal structures.
  • Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
  • Knowledge of techniques and processes of robotic process automation (RPA).
  • Relocation is not available for this position.

All training will be on 1st shift for up to 2 months before moving to hired shift.

Summary Pay Range

$29.60 - $38.50 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
