Job summary

Shape-Corp-1 in Tanner, Alabama, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support production by setting up, operating, and maintaining Mig/Tig/Spot welding cells.

The ideal candidate has a GED or high school diploma, 1-2 years robotics welding experience, and completion of weld tech curriculum; proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication is preferred. This is an on-site role reporting to the manufacturing supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of robotic welding experience.
• Completion of Shape U Weld Tech I Curriculum with passing grade.
• 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Successful completion of Weld Tech Trainee Period with probation.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup and operation of welding cells.

Position Summary: Manufacturing Technician provide production support by performing setup, trouble shooting and operation of Mig/Tig/Spot Welding cells within an assigned welding cell.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:

• Carry out essential job functions of Manufacturing Technician as required.
• Perform reteaching of assigned robots.
• Troubleshoot problems with assigned robots.
• Conduct MIG/TIG/Spot resistance welding maintenance.
• Provide adjustment of assigned welding fixtures.
• Teach pendant experience.
• Perform Predictive Maintenance on assigned weld equipment.
• Provide process improvement ideas.
• Ensure robot is safe for associates to operate.
• Apply and utilize manufacturing best practice for efficiency, quality, safety and capability.
• Foster and maintain good working relationships and effective with vendors, team members, suppliers and project teams.
• Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader.
