TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking a Weld Process Consultant for short-term, as-needed project support in the Greenville, SC area. This is a non-permanent, 1099 Independent Contractor role focused on auditing welding quality and proposing actionable optimizations.

Responsibilities include on-site weld inspections, parameter analysis, and a follow-up visit to verify improvements and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in automotive welding processes (such as resistance spot welding, MIG/MAG, or laser welding).
• Ability to travel to our site for short-term visits on an as-needed basis.
• Independent Contractor (1099) / Freelance. Cannot employ full-time as needed for client requests.

Weld Process Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Contract Welding Engineer/Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) Consultants for short-term, as‑needed project support at our manufacturing facility. This is a non‑permanent, project‑based role ideal for an independent contractor. The primary objective is to audit our current welding quality, provide actionable optimization suggestions, and return at a later date to verify the results.

OVERVIEW

• Inspect & Audit: Conduct on-site inspections of welds in a manufacturing setting to identify quality issues or defects.
• Troubleshoot & Advise: Analyze current welding parameters and offer clear, practical suggestions to improve weld integrity and cycle times.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: Proven track record in automotive welding processes (such as resistance spot welding, MIG/MAG, or laser welding).

• Technical degreeCWEng and/or required weld certification through American Weld Society such as CWI CRWT,Certified Robotic Arc Welding (CRAW) or Certified Resistance Welding Technician (CRWT)
