Job summary

AAON, Inc. is seeking a welding helper to assist experienced welders in preparing materials and operating equipment while maintaining a safe work environment. The role includes reading basic welding blueprints, handling tools, and supporting the welding team to ensure quality work.

Base pay is competitive, with a pay range that reflects entry-level responsibility and active training opportunities. This position is on-site in Oregon and includes standard benefits for full-time team members.

  • Read and interpret basic welding blueprints and instructions.
  • Assist in tack welding components for final welding.
  • Support welding team in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Job Summary:

Assist experienced welders with preparing materials, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe work environment to support the welding process.

Base pay is $21.50

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists Welder I and Welder II in various welding tasks as directed.
  • Prepares workpieces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and scraping as necessary.
  • Helps set up welding equipment and tools under supervision.
  • Handles and stores welding materials and equipment properly.
  • Operates power tools and hand tools under guidance.
  • Reads and interprets basic welding blueprints and instructions.
  • Assists in tack welding components together for final welding.
  • Supports Welder I and Welder II in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Learns and follows safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
  • Assists in training and mentoring new helpers as needed.

Essential Physical Functions:
  • Lift up to 50lbs.
  • Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
  • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
